Posted on September 4, 2025September 8, 2025 By James Ankamah

Techiman North, – The Techiman North District office of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) is providing support for nearly one hundred (100) internally displaced persons who have settled in the communities of Gyebiri, Jama, and Timponim.

The individuals were displaced as a result of the recent conflict in Gbeniyiri, located in the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba District of the Savannah Region.

A high-level delegation, led by the Director General of NADMO, Major (Rtd.) Dr. Joseph Binkayin Kuyon, and the Bono East Regional Director, Mr. Akwasi Lampo, visited Gyebiri to assess the situation. They were received by the Techiman North District Director, Mr. Mohammed Adamu, and his team. During the visit, the Director General assured the victims of the government’s commitment, through NADMO, to provide essential relief items and support during this difficult time.

Earlier, the Director General paid a courtesy call on the Bono East Regional Minister, Hon. Francis Owusu Antwi. The Minister highlighted the region’s needs and appealed for enhanced logistical support for the regional NADMO office, including vehicles, motorbikes, computers, and printers to improve operational effectiveness.

In light of this crisis, the Techiman North NADMO office appeals to the general public, benevolent organizations, and all stakeholders to extend their support to these displaced persons. Your contribution is crucial to help restore hope and dignity to their lives.
