Posted on August 1, 2025August 5, 2025 By James Ankamah

On 1st August 2025, the Techiman North District Assembly organized a massive clean-up exercise in Tuobodom, the district capital, in line with the shared values of H.E. John Dramani Mahama. The initiative aimed to promote environmental cleanliness and community participation in maintaining a healthy and sustainable district.

The exercise, which ran from 5:30 AM to 10:30 AM, began at the Tuobodom Market, where the refuse dump was completely evacuated to improve sanitation and public health. The activity then extended to all surrounding communities within the district capital. Plans are underway to replicate the exercise in other communities across the Techiman North District.

Key attendees included:

  • Hon. John Kwabena Adom, District Chief Executive (DCE)
  • Hon. Lawyer Elizabeth Ofosu Adjare, Member of Parliament and Minister for Trade, Agribusiness, and Industry
  • Representatives from security services
  • Assembly staff
  • Health workers
  • Media personnel
  • Students

The event saw overwhelming participation from residents, who enthusiastically joined in the exercise, demonstrating their commitment to a cleaner and healthier environment.

The Techiman North District Assembly remains dedicated to fostering community engagement in developmental initiatives and looks forward to sustaining such impactful programs.
