Techiman North District Assembly Strengthens Revenue Mobilization with Digital Solutions

Posted on September 1, 2025September 3, 2025 By James Ankamah

Techiman North, September 1, 2025 – The Office of the District Chief Executive (DCE) at the Techiman North District Assembly has taken a significant step towards modernizing its revenue collection systems to drive local development.

In a meeting chaired by the Honourable District Chief Executive, Hon. Adom Kwabena Johnson, the Assembly today engaged with a shortlist of qualified Information Technology (IT) firms. The firms presented comprehensive software solutions aimed at digitizing and streamlining the collection of Internally Generated Funds (IGF), with a specific focus on property rates.

The presentations highlighted various technological platforms designed to enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and transparency of the revenue collection process. This initiative is a core component of the Assembly’s broader strategy to improve fiscal governance and maximize revenue for community development projects.

In his remarks, Hon. Adom Kwabena Johnson emphasized the Assembly’s commitment to this reform. “The adoption of a robust digital collection system is paramount to our agenda for sustainable development. It will not only plug revenue leaks but also ensure accountability and build greater public trust in our financial management. We are meticulously evaluating all options to select a solution that best serves the people of Techiman North.”

The Assembly’s technical team will now evaluate the proposals based on a strict set of criteria, including cost-effectiveness, technical support, scalability, and security features. A final decision on the selected technology partner is expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

This move underscores the Techiman North District Assembly’s dedication to leveraging innovation for effective public administration and accelerated growth.
