Techiman North District witnessed a significant milestone as the Minister of Trade, Agribusiness, and Industry and Member of Parliament for Techiman North, Hon. Lawyer Elizabeth Fosu Adjare, joined Nananom of Tanoboase, the District Chief Executive (DCE), and assembly staff for the groundbreaking ceremony of the Tanoboase Cashew Fruit Processing Factory.

This state-of-the-art facility marks a major step forward in the government’s commitment to agro-industrialization, job creation, and value addition in the cashew sector. Once operational, the factory will:
✔ Boost local cashew production and processing
✔ Create sustainable employment opportunities
✔ Enhance income for farmers and stakeholders
✔ Strengthen Techiman North’s position in Ghana’s agribusiness landscape

Hon. Fosu Adjare emphasized the government’s dedication to supporting agribusiness growth while thanking the chiefs, DCE, and community members for their collaboration in making the project a reality.

The ceremony underscored the importance of public-private-community partnerships in driving economic development.
