Earlier this afternoon, we received a delegation from the Regional Coordinating Council led by the Bono East Regional Minister Hon. Kofi Amoakohene.
The purpose of the visit was to monitor the District’s activities towards the prevention of the Novel coronavirus pandemic.
We elaborated steps taken by the District Assembly coupled with efforts taken by Nananom, cooperate bodies, business entities as well as philanthropists. We appreciate the kind support of all those who donated towards this course.
We also visited the lorry terminal and the Tuobodom market to monitor the adherence to social distancing protocols before finally inspecting the proposed quarantine centre allocated by the District’s emergency response team.
We promised the entourage that as a District, we shall continue to fight together to ensure that we will not record a single COVID-19 case.
Once again, let us continue to adhere to the preventive protocols as stated by health authorities and most importantly let us stay home if we have no business doing outside.
