SOD CUTTING CEREMONY ON THE INSTALLATION OF TRAFFIC LIGHT AT ASUEYI-JAMA JUNCTION

In the early hours of Tuesday 7th February,2023, Hon. Addo-Donkor Everson embarked on a field visit with some staff of the Assembly to cut a sod for the installation of Traffic Light at Asueyi,Mesidan, Buoyem, Jama junction.

The traffic light installation is part of the projects which the District Chief Executive had assured the communities.

The Junction which links Asueyi-Mesidan- Buoyem is also a major road from Techiman to Wa. There have been reports of accidents that occurs on that stretch which have taken lives and injured pedestrian.

The District Chief Executive in his remarks indicated that, during his swearing in into office he assured the people he will provide traffic light at vantage points to ease traffic flow and reduce accident.

Hon. Addo-Donkor Everson when talking to the media stated that, as part of the promises made to the people in the District and will make sure he delivers.

Having said that, the District Chief Executive stated that, the contractor for the project is FALCO Construction Limited who are experts in traffic light installation and a duration of six months of completion.

The Hon. Assembly Members of the area express delight for such a huge project that have been brought to them and stated that the installation of the traffic light will not only benefit those in Jama but along side with the adjourning communities such Asueyi, Mesidan and Buoyem.

On that note, Hon. Addo- Donkor Everson, District Chief Executive for Techiman North with the help of the staff of the Assembly and invited guest cut the sod for the commencement of the project.
