D.C.E Champions Inter-Agency Synergy to Accelerate District Development
The District Chief Executive (DCE), together with the Management Team, convened an Inter-Sectoral Coordination and Cooperation Meeting with Non-Decentralized Agencies and Authorities operating within the District.
The purpose of the meeting was to foster collaboration and ensure alignment between the Assembly and various stakeholders by presenting the Assembly’s Annual Action Plans and engaging in constructive deliberations. The Non-Decentralized Agencies and Authorities also took the opportunity to brief the DCE and Management on their respective planned activities and how these align with the District’s development goals and strategic objectives.
The meeting was chaired by the DCE and attended by key officials including the District Coordinating Director, District Information Officer, and District Director of Agriculture. Representatives from the following institutions and organizations were also present: Ghana Water Company Limited, National Road Safety Authority, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Lands Commission, National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), National Identification Authority (NIA), Ghana Police Service, National Ambulance Service, National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), Commission for Human Rights and Justice (CHARJ), Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU), Women Integrated Development Organization (WIDO), Telecommunications Providers and Volta River Authority/Northern Electricity Distribution Company (VRA/NEDCo).
This meeting underscored the importance of inter-agency coordination in promoting effective service delivery, avoiding duplication of efforts, and achieving shared development outcomes for the district.
