The District Chief Executive (DCE), Hon. Kwabena Adom Johnson, in his capacity as Chairman, alongside the District Coordinating Director as Secretary, convened the first Executive Committee meeting of the year at the Assembly’s Mini Conference Hall. As the highest decision-making body among the Sub-committees, the Executive Committee brought together key leaders to deliberate on critical development issues facing the district.
The meeting saw full participation from:
- Hon. Romeo Obeng Frimpong (Finance and Administration)
- Hon. Amos Amoah Amissah (Social Services)
- Hon. Oheneba Ampem Darko (Justice and Security)
- Hon. Enock Assah (Development Planning)
- Hon. Takyi Abeam (Agriculture and Environment)
- Hon. Richard Yeboah (Works)
- Co-opted Members: Hon. Enock Bopemenko and Hon. Faustina Agyeiwaa Sakyi
All relevant Department and Unit Heads were present to provide technical support and document decisions.
Key Decisions:
Following comprehensive presentations by Sub-committee Chairpersons on 26 recommendations:
- 10 priority proposals were approved for forwarding to the General Assembly
- 16 recommendations were referred back to respective Departments for further review
- Department Heads were tasked to submit detailed reports on outstanding items before the next General Assembly meeting
Chairman Hon. Johnson announced a critical capacity-building initiative:
“Currently, we’re training personnel for comprehensive data collection on all ratable properties district-wide. This exercise will significantly enhance our IGF performance.”
The DCE urged all members to actively support this revenue optimization drive, emphasizing
“Our collective commitment to this initiative will determine our success in achieving financial sustainability for development projects.”
