Field Visit Report: Techiman North District Agricultural Department

On March 15, 2025, the Techiman North District Agricultural Department conducted a field visit to educate farmers on good farming practices and assess pest and disease infestation in farmers’ fields.

  • Number of Field Officers: 16 officers participated in the field visit
  • Total Visits: 2,235 visits were made to farmers and homes
  • Objective: To provide farmers with practical knowledge on good farming practices and identify pest and disease issues affecting their crops

Purpose and Impact
The field visit aimed to enhance farmers’ knowledge and skills, promoting sustainable agricultural practices and improving crop yields. By identifying pest and disease infestations, the department can provide targeted support to farmers, reducing crop losses and increasing food security.
