In his address, the DCE emphasized the crucial role the Tomato Buyers Association plays in the local economy, describing them as vital partners in the Assembly’s operations. He urged the Association’s leadership to complete their formal registration with the Assembly, which would enable them to access support and participate more effectively in decision-making processes.

During the interactive session, Association members appealed to the Assembly to:

  • Assign a dedicated revenue collector to ensure proper accountability and boost the District’s Internally Generated Funds (IGF).
  • Support the renovation of the local market to create a more conducive trading environment, particularly for women vendors.

The meeting concluded on a positive note, with Association members expressing optimism about the district’s development. They welcomed the engagement and reaffirmed their commitment to registering with the Assembly and contributing to the district’s growth.
