The Techiman North District Assembly has officially commenced a large-scale data mobilization exercise to streamline revenue collection across the district. The initiative was announced by the District Chief Executive (DCE), Hon. Johnson Kwabena Adom, during his inaugural general assembly meeting.
A dedicated team, led by Mr. Kyere Kwame Domfe, the Head of Revenue, and Mr. Anane Christian, the District Statistician, has been assigned to compile a comprehensive database of all ratable properties within the district. This critical step is expected to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of revenue mobilization, ensuring that all taxable entities are properly captured.
Hon. Adom emphasized the importance of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality in the execution of this exercise. He urged the team to strictly adhere to the Assembly’s guidelines and procedures to maintain public trust and ensure the security of collected data.
The data mobilization initiative is a key component of the Assembly’s broader strategy to improve revenue collection, which will ultimately support developmental projects in the district. By identifying and documenting all potential revenue sources, the Techiman North District Assembly aims to strengthen its financial base and accelerate local infrastructure and service delivery.
This move has been welcomed by stakeholders, who see it as a positive step toward transparency and accountability in local governance. The Assembly has assured residents that the process will be conducted fairly and efficiently, with minimal disruption to daily activities.
