Earlier today, the District Chief Executive, Hon Addo-Donkor Everson distributed some street light bulbs to second-cycle schools in the District which took place in the forecourt of the Assembly in Tuobodom.

This was part of the DCE’s commitment to lighten up the District and prevent security threats at night. The distribution of the bulbs was done in the presence of the headmasters of the following schools namely; Akumfi Ameyaw SHS, Guakro Effah SHS, Tuobodom Secondary Technical School, Buoyem St Francis School, Abrafi SHS, Krobo SHS, Krobo Hope SHS and Krobo Midwifery and Nursing Training College.

The Headmasters of the schools were grateful for the DCE’s effort in lightening up the District, which will help reduce theft at night in their various schools and were hopeful the DCE would do more.

Hon. Addo-Donkor Everson, in his statement, indicated that the light is not enough but will ensure distribution is done evenly for all second cycles to benefit. This is evident that the DCE is committed to helping solve security-related issues at night in the District through the distribution of street light bulbs to be fixed at vantage points.
