On December 20, 2024, staff from the Environmental and Health Unit, along with other personnel from the Techiman North District Assembly, participated in a training session on Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) at the Assembly’s main conference hall. The session marked the pilot phase of the WASH project, focusing on selecting target communities within the district for implementation.
The training emphasized strategies and plans to strengthen campaigns for behavioral and attitudinal change. The primary goal was to establish a framework for effectively implementing Open Defecation Free (ODF) policies as a core component of all WASH programs. This approach aims to improve sanitation and hygiene practices, promote a sustainable and healthy environment, and ensure access to clean water supplies.
