After an extended stay at home during the COVID-19 outbreak, Student’s were asked to the go back to as per the President’s directives.
This year’s celebration was held at Krokroko D/A Basic School within Techiman North District. This is an event held at the beginning of every academic year to welcome all newly enrolled students.
In attendance were Ms Theresa Kpebu (District Education Director), Dr Alfred Kwadwo Ampofo (District Health Director), Mr Antwi Albert Fordjour (District IT/MIS officer, Assembly Rep), Nanamom, School Authorities, Parents and Students.
Students expressed their joy upon return to school. Parents also expressed their gratitude to the President of the Land for his selfless dedication towards the fight against COVID-19.
The public schools recorded 18,787 new students and 11,485 new students within the District, having 30,269 newly enrolled students. These newly enrolled students expressed their excitement for being in school and also been presented with school uniforms.
PPE’s were also presented to the students with a couple of biscuits and drinks to welcome the newly enrolled students.
