As part of the constitutional mandate to decentralize government powers to the grassroots, a standing committee, as stated by the constitution of Ghana, needed to be in place, which is the Town Councils and Unit Committees.
The District is demarcated into five zones/ Area Councils, i.e. Tuobodom Town Council, Offuman Town Council, Aworowa Town Council, Krobo Town Council and Buoyem Town Council.
Earlier this morning, the Offuman Town Council was inaugurated, mandating them to begin their duties as leaders of the respective electoral areas under their catchment area. The committee comprises five (5) Assemblymen and women and ten (10) Unit committee members.
The event was graced by the presence of the Honourable District Chief Executive, Hon. Peter K. Mensah, Mr Daniel Asuama (Presiding Member), Mr Joseph K. B. Tang (District Coordinating Director), Madame Cecilia Ockling (District Community Development Officer), Mr Ernest Adarkwah Yiadom (District Planning Officer) and other staff from the Techiman North District Assembly.
After lengthy deliberations by the Assemblymen and women and Unit Committee members present, the following persons were elected to form part of the Offuman Town Council

Swearing-In was done by the DCE by swearing their oath of allegiance to Ghana, the Assembly and their community members.
