Techiman North District Department of Social Development Promotes Gender Equality

The Department of Social Development in the Techiman North District recently conducted sensitization programs on promoting gender equality in children’s roles in five communities. The programs aimed to challenge long-standing stereotypes and promote equal opportunities for boys and girls.

Key Highlights:

  • 242 community members engaged (98 males, 144 females)
  • Child Protection Flash Cards used to facilitate interactive sessions
  • Successful paradigm shift among attendees, with participants acknowledging the need to share roles equally among children
