Earlier today, the District Chief Executive, Hon. Addo-Donkor Everson with the Social welfare and community development officer disbursed some items and funds to PWDs in the District. The activity took place in the main conference hall of the Assembly in Tuobodom.
The items and funds disbursement are part of the DCE’s effort to support Persons With Disability in the District to be economically empowered and support themselves and their families. The disbursement which included cash support were made to support their business.
Hon. Addo-Donkor Everson in his statement indicated that, this is part of the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo efforts to provide support to PWD’s through the increment of percentage of the Disability fund from the DACF.
In his closing remark, he reiterated that, Persons With Disability should utilize the funds by working with it as a start-up capital and grow their business which will serve as source of income to them and their families.
