MAIDEN MANAGEMENT MEETING FOR THE TECHIMAN NORTH DISTRICT ASSEMBLY

The Techiman north district assembly organized its 2023 maiden management staff meeting on 22nd March 2023 at the assembly’s mini conference hall. The chairman of the meeting was the District Chief Executive, Hon. Everson Addo – Donkor with able assistance from the district coordinating director, Mrs. Georgina Tumbakorah. The total attendance to the meeting was twenty-Nine members.

The District Co-Ord Director in her opening remarks welcomed members from the Christmas and New Year break. She was very grateful to God for his protection and guidance throughout the Christmas festivities. According to her, it was good to have such management meeting on time to address issues that would bring development to the district.

She explained to members that management Members consist of Heads of Department/Unit to take key decisions for the district and inform subordinates on what was discussed. She indicated that not all senior staff were automatic members of Management meeting. she added that henceforth management meetings would be strictly attended by Heads of Department/Units of the District.

She reiterated that work starts from 8:00am and close at 5:pm, hence lateness this year would not be accepted, and any officer should seek permission before leaving office or sought permission for absenting him/herself. she reminded members that payment would be done based on performance this year.

She applauded members for their dedication and hard work during the previous year. He urged members to continue the good work and even, if possible, work harder.

The Chairman and the District Chief Executive, Hon. in his remarks added his voice to the District Co-Ordinating Director and welcomed members to the meeting and from the Christmas break. According to the District Chief Executive, as core leaders of the Assembly, they should work hard for the subordinates to emulate.

He advised members to desist from lateness to work and absenteeism especially during the absence of the District Coordinating Director. He therefore urged Members to continue working hard to bring development to the district and requested for members contribution and collaboration for a successful meeting.

The house discussed on 2023 performance contract indicators. The District Planning Officer presented the 2023 Performance Contract Indicators for Members to take note of their respective areas to work according to the indicator. The district coordinating director assigned various officers to a task and adjourned the meeting to a different day.

The Chairman in his closing remarks expressed his gratitude to Members for their co-operation and full participation which had brought the meeting to a successful end.  He encouraged Management Members to work hard on the 2022 Performance Contract to be able to rank first in the country.

He also urged Members to work as a team for the development of the district.
