Posted on January 19, 2025June 13, 2025 By mis

The Techiman North District Assembly’s Social Welfare department, in collaboration with SOS Tamale, conducted a monitoring visit to check on the well-being of orphans reintegrated into their families. The visit aimed to ensure these children are adjusting well to their new environments and receiving necessary support.

Some communities visited are Offuman-Dampaso where the team met with Princilla Afia Achiaa, a 17-year-old student enrolled in Methodist Primary 6 and also Tuobodom, they also visited Emmanuel Ameyaw Opoku, a 16-year-old student at St. James Minor Seminary.

The visit sought to monitor the living conditions and well-being of reintegrated orphans, assess their access to education and other essential services and provide support and guidance to families caring for these children.

The Techiman North District Assembly’s collaboration with SOS Tamale demonstrates its commitment to protecting vulnerable children and promoting their welfare. This partnership aligns with the Assembly’s goals to provide social services and support to those in need.
