The Techiman North District Assembly(TeNDA) earlier today joined the rest of the nation to celebrate Ghana’s 65th Independence Day anniversary with a call on residents to shun indiscipline behaviour towards waste disposal and work together with the assembly in our quest to bounce back from the Covid-19 pandemic.

In his keynote address, the District Chief Executive, Hon Everson Addo-Donkor charged residents to support the Assembly to implement the ‘Operation Clean Your Frontage’ to keep the District clean of filth.

According to him, the Assembly recognizes education as a key component of development and has therefore made conscious efforts to improve the educational sector in the district.

The District Education Director, Madam Theresa Kpebu, also encouraged both teaching and non-teaching staff for their efforts and dedication during the Covid-19 period. She thanked the DCE and the assembly for their support of the sector.

School children who excelled in the 2020 Basic Education Certificate Examination were given awards in compliment of their efforts to raise the flag of the district, while all participating schools and groups were honoured by the Assembly.
