NITA Boss Joins Head Of Local Government Service To Inaugurate Association of Local Government Service MIS OfficersThe Director General of the National Information Technology Agency at the Ministry of Communications and Digitization, Mr. Richard Okyer-Fosu, today, June 24, 2022, joined the Head of Local Government Service, Ing. Dr. Ato Arthur, to inaugurate the Association of Local Government Service MIS Officers.
Association of Local Government Services MIS Officers are Management Information Systems (MIS) Officers who work in the various metropolitan, municipal, and district assemblies across the country. These IT professionals have come together in order to have one strong voice to champion their wellbeing while supporting the government to push its digitization agenda.
Administering the oath of office, Mr. Richard Okyer-Fosu assured them of the preparedness of the National Information Technology Agency to work with them to achieve a common objective.
Mr. Okyer-Fosu charged them to abreast themselves with all the laws that govern the ICT industry because, according to him, the ICT laws, especially the electronic transaction act 772 and the NITA’s act, are major tools for any ICT professional.
The Director General hinted that NITA has a great vision to become a world-class ICT organization with secure infrastructure, systems, and services.
