DISTRIBUTION OF STREET LIGHT BULBS TO ELECTORAL AREAS

On Friday, 9th December, 2022, Hon Addo-Donkor Everson the District Chief Executive for Techiman North District Assembly, distributed some street light bulbs to the Assembly members of each electoral area at the forecourt of the Assembly. These street light bulbs are to be installed to lighten up some vantage areas in the District. This is part of the DCE’s commitment to improve security situation in the District.

Most assembly members during their submissions during General Assembly meetings which is the highest decision making body within the assembly system complained of the danger it poses to their electoral members as a result of proper lightening in their various electoral areas. This is brought about high risk of robbery which is serving as a security challenge and also positioning the electoral area and community in a bad fate.

During the presentation, the Hon. Everson Addo-Donkor admonished the assembly members to make sure the fix these bulbs at these vantage points which is a security risk to resduce the risk of crime within their community and District at large. He also made it known the government’s commitment to lighting up the whole country and particularly the district, he promised to lobby for more of such in help lighten up the all communities and also help extend the national grid to all communities with electricity.
