The outbreak on the covid-19 pandemic has had and continues to have immeasurable effects on nations, organizations and individuals. As a result, it has become imperative for the government to put in place all necessary measures aimed at limiting the spread of the virus. The first of such actions were implemented in March and June 2020. All markets in the Bono East were disinfected.<\/p>\n

As part of measure to mitigate the spread of covid-19 in the country, the government had made it a quarterly affair to disinfect all public places in the country. In the fulfilling, the obligation of all markets including lorry parks and nearby public toilets in Techiman North District were disinfected in both March and June.<\/p>\n

For the effective execution of the exercise across the district, four teams were constituted and deployed to the various sub-districts to undertake the activity.<\/p>\n

Chlorine solution was the chemical used for the exercise. Equipment and other spraying gadgets were available for the exercise.<\/p>\n

The following stakeholders, namely the Assembly persons, market women, unit committee, the drivers were pre-informed and educated in the upcoming event.<\/p>\n

The vehicle to convey the spraying operatives and other supporting staff to the various sub-districts was only one.<\/p>\n

Enough time or date should be given ahead of any disinfection exercise to enhance information dissemination to the public.<\/p>\n\n\n
