The programme commenced promptly at 7:00 a.m. with the arrival of the District Chief Executive for Techiman North District,\u00a0Hon. Johnson Kwabena Adom<\/strong>, alongside the District Coordinating Director and traditional rulers. Students and school contingents assembled in an orderly fashion, preparing for the parade, while guests were ushered to their designated seats, creating a lively and festive atmosphere.<\/p>\n The Chairman of the occasion,\u00a0Nana Owusu Akyear Brempong<\/strong>, Akrofrom Kyeremansa Hene, delivered a brief address welcoming all attendees. He emphasised the importance of the Independence Day celebration as a reminder of the sacrifices made by the nation\u2019s forefathers. He encouraged students to remain disciplined, respect their teachers and elders, and take their education seriously.<\/p>\n Following the singing of the National Anthem, the DCE inspected the parade, walking past the various school contingents to acknowledge their preparedness and commitment to the celebration.<\/p>\n Mr Ahmed Nasir Ibrahim<\/strong>, the District Director of Education for Techiman North, delivered the welcome remarks. He reflected on the significance of Ghana\u2019s independence in 1957 and commended teachers in the district for their dedication. He noted that independence is not only a celebration but also a call for collective responsibility, patriotism, and unity.<\/p>\n Hon. Johnson Kwabena Adom<\/strong>, the District Chief Executive, delivered the anniversary address. He highlighted the government\u2019s commitment to economic recovery through initiatives in education, infrastructure, agriculture, and youth employment. Notable interventions mentioned included the construction of classroom blocks, improvements to health facilities, road infrastructure projects, and the distribution of 10,000 day-old chicks to farmers under the\u00a0Nkoko Nkitinkiti<\/em>\u00a0programme.<\/p>\n The DCE urged students to avoid social vices and focus on their education, emphasising that education remains a key tool for national development. He concluded by calling for unity and collective efforts from all stakeholders to support the development of the district and the nation.<\/p>\n One of the major highlights of the celebration was the march past by various schools within the district. Participating schools demonstrated a high level of discipline, coordination, and enthusiasm as they marched before the dignitaries and the audience, drawing applause and admiration from spectators.<\/p>\n As part of the recognition ceremony,\u00a0Adjei Theophilus Mawuli<\/strong> of Krobo RC JHS was honoured as the\u00a0Best Boy Candidate in the 2025 BECE<\/strong>\u00a0in the district. He obtained an aggregate score of 16 and was presented with a citation in recognition of his outstanding academic performance.<\/p>\n Additionally,\u00a0St. Francis Seminary Senior High School, Buoyem,<\/strong> was recognised as the\u00a0Best Performing Senior High School in the WASSEC<\/strong> within the district. The award honoured the school\u2019s exceptional academic performance and served as an inspiration to other institutions.<\/p>\n Following the march past, the Master of the Ceremonies announced the results of the parade and declared the best-performing schools. Certificates of participation were also presented to all participating schools as a token of appreciation.<\/p>\n Madam Diana Yeboah<\/strong> of Aworowa IRC JHS delivered the Vote of Thanks<\/span>. She expressed sincere appreciation to the District Chief Executive, the District Coordinating Director, the Education Directorate, traditional authorities, teachers, security services, and all stakeholders who contributed to the successful organisation of the event.<\/p>\n The programme was brought to a close with a closing prayer offered by\u00a0Alhaji Tahiru Adam<\/strong>, the Deputy Chief Imam, who prayed for peace, unity, and continuous development for Ghana.<\/p>\n The 69th Independence Anniversary Parade in the Techiman North District was successfully organised and served as an important platform to commemorate Ghana\u2019s independence.
