As we mark the 66th independence day celebration of Ghana under the theme “Our Unity, Our Strength, Our Purpose”, Techiman North District under the auspices of the District Chief Executive, Nananom, the Assembly Staff, Assembly Members organized ours at Tanoboase in a colourful ceremony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Touching on the theme “Our Unity, Our Strength, Our Purpose, the Hon. DCE stated that a country that does not honour its heroes is not worth dying for hence the need to remember leaders who have in diverse ways contributed their quota to development of Techiman North since its creation in 2012 and Ghana as a whole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As a results, he opined that, the District has earmarked projects for various communities like the “Ghana Productive Safety Net Programme” (GPSNP-2) which includes construction of a hand dug dam at Kyiridiagya, 10 acres Mango and Cashew Plantation at Offuman, Tanoboase and Buoyem as well as construction of a 5kilometer feeder roads in some communities in the District. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The District Chief Executive honored three industrious sons of the land for their role in farming in the District and the country at large. They were given citation for their hardwork and efforts. The are Mr. Thomas Ahima- First National Best Farmer in 1987 from Offuman, Prof Akwasi Asabre Ameyaw of Buoyem 2nd runner up and Mr Seth Adjei Fosu 1st runner up in the 2022 Farmers award at koforidua. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
