On Tuesday, 1st July 2025 the Techiman North District Assembly held its first
National Prayer and Thanksgiving Day celebrations at Tuobodom town park.
The theme for the occasion were Reflect, Reset, and Renewal for National
Prosperity.

Addressing the gathering by Hon. Johnson Kwabena Adom, (DCE)
The DCE express his gratitude to people’s for coming to the National Prayers and
Thanksgiving Day celebration. And also extend his heartfelt appreciation to the Hon.
Member of Parliament and Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, Nananom,
Revered Clergy, Muslim Mission, Security Agencies, Hon. Assembly Members,
District Coordinating Director, Heads of Department and Staff of the Assembly.
The DCE explain the important of the program, as years ago our forefathers laid
their lives for this great nation. The republic of Ghana was won not on silver platter
but with loss of lives and sacrifices which today the nation is proud of it. He said on
this remarkable occasion of Republic Day marked the end of colonial rule on the 1st
of July 1960.
He also encourages the gathering to remember with gratitude the sacrifices of our
freedom fighters. Hon. Adom pleads to Christians, Muslims and traditionalists
worships to work together as one people even though they have different ways of
worship.
He stated that “This is a national treasure that we must never take for granted.”
He stressed that, the youth who are the future leaders of this country have recently
indulged in all manners of drugs addiction. And is a worrying signal in a society with
high moral standard to take over the mantle of this country.
Furthermore, Hon. Member of Parliament and Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and
Industry, Lawyer Mrs. Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare also added that, there is a rapidly
changing of the world in economic, social and moral challenges, and it requires fresh
thinking and renewed dedication. And so, there is the need for Reflect, Reset, and
Renewal for National Prosperity. She then, encourages the youth to enter into
farming.
